As 2009 moves behind us we can see God's hand shielding us, guiding us and carrying us through some very emotional times as we lived through the raw pain of having a little boy in our home for six days, giving him all we had only to say goodbye to him and our dream of adopting. After five years of one let down after another concerning adoption, this final blow really took the life out of us and joy was hard to find. The entire month of December, He has flooded me with JOY everywhere I turn. That is a miracle.
We have no idea what lies ahead, but we do know Who holds that future. We are truly blessed.
Happy New Year 2010!!
We look forward to what the Lord has in store for our little family and we can be a blessing to others and HIM!
I look forward to reading what this next 12 months bring to your family. I pray that 2010 is an easier year and that your family continues to be blessed many times over. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThe journey of life is challenging. I'm not asking for fewer trials in your life...just that the ones you will inevitably have will continue to draw you to Him and that you will continue to share them with us because you do it in such a way that blessing oozes from every word you say, painful or not. Love you~

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had such a fun New Years Celebration! I know the pain and disappointment from this past year wont' go away right away (or ever), but I do hope the new year brings you peace and a comfort that your family is exactly where God wants you to be right now. It seems like there's something nice about the new year starting and the kids getting back to school; hopefully you'll be able to put together a good routine for yourself and figure out your "new normal". God bless you and your family this year.
